Edwart Chocolatier Paris is the brainchild of Edwin Yansané, who burst onto the scene with this project at just 24 years old. While its reputation precedes it, I visited to see if the hype matches the actual experience of their delicate creations.

🍫 The Bonbon Chocolat Experience
The shop features a selection of about 20 types of bonbons. They are crafted with high technical precision, showing a clear strength in their milk chocolate blends. While the balance of flavors is undoubtedly professional and polished, I found the experience pleasant rather than mind-blowing—a solid, safe choice for a gift, but perhaps lacking that “wow” factor for a seasoned chocolate enthusiast.
🍫 A Surprise in Every Tablet
The true highlight, however, was the selection of roughly 10 tablet bars. This was a delightful surprise. Edwart does an exceptional job highlighting the individual character of the cacao beans while utilizing subtle additions like sugar to elevate the overall aromatic profile. Their ability to enhance, rather than mask, the raw material makes these bars stand out. Much like Jean-Paul Hévin, this is a brand where I’ll be stocking up on tablets on my next visit.
💬 Verdict
While the bonbons are elegant, the tablets are the real stars here. I highly recommend picking up a few bars to enjoy at home with a cup of coffee. It is a perfect spot for those who appreciate the nuances of single-origin chocolate. I will definitely be returning, but purely for the tablet collection.
